Megyer is situated int he center of Tokaj ont he northeast border of Hungary. South and aouthwest aspect.The slopes of the Megyer hill form part of the famous slopes of this area.

Among other outstanding viticulturists mention must be made of Ferenc Dobo who was the overlord of the castle in Sárospatak between 1576 – 1602 and who instituted excellent wine plantations.

Chateau Megyer now belongs to the French insurance group, who by continuing the traditional intrinsic characteristic of the grape variety and soil.
